Talking about sustainability with heart
The what:
In my time at sustainability communications agency Flag, I worked with world-leading brands to help them shout about the work they were doing to do and be better.
The challenge:
Sustainability writing had something of a bad rep. Jargon-packed. Serious. Sends-you-to-sleep boring. And yet talking about changing the world should be anything but doom and gloom. That's where I came in.
The how:
Taking complex information and making it clear and accessible is no easy feat. But when you have an already strong brand identity to use as an anchor, you're off to a running start.
From ASOS and OVO to MUJI, La Prairie and Gap, I took every new brief, every brand book, re-imagined each brand's tone of voice for the sustainability and diversity, equity, and inclusion space - and got writing.
The result:
I penned blogs and bylines, social media posts and video scripts. Websites. Pitches. CEO letters, manifestos and impact reports. Words that connect with people - and help them see the world differently.
